For Members & Prospective Firefighters

Training & Certification

New Jersey requires state-approved training for volunteer firefighters. Moonachie FD members work toward these certifications through accredited programs — the department will guide you through local requirements when you join.

ICS 100, ICS 700, and ICS 800 are required to join most emergency departments. These free FEMA courses can be completed online before you begin.
